Scenes from Around My House

Shopped my house yesterday and moved some junk around. Here's a little showcase.
The white quilt was a thrift find yesterday!

Mirror another score from yesterday's thrift store run.

This Pickwick & Company candle is so amazing. The scent is Frasier Fir but it has just a little somethin somethin that keeps it interest. Festive without being too much. I already want to go buy another!

I just love this schoolhouse chair I bought for $2 last summer. I sanded it down some and the color is just so warm.

Treasured Dress Pattern Review

I'm going to keep this pretty short and sweet so as not to gush but I seriously love this dress!
It came out at the perfect time of year too. The length is perfect for this cooler weather and still nice enough for church or just hanging around.
I really would like to see this fancied up for Christmas, made with silk. Ahhhh
Lilac Lanes Patterns are always easy to follow with plenty of help
and pictures along the way. She does such a great job.
Go download The Treasured Dress right now and be sewing in minutes :)

Hadley Dress for Baby

I have a new Neice! I usually make blankets but this time I thought I would try my hand at this pattern.
It's The Hadley Dress by Create Kids Couture.
The pattern was easy enough but really got lost on the tie sash step. I could not for the life of me figure out when I was supposed to stitch I together. I'm sure it was just me.
If I was a new enough sewer I would not of been able to wing it like I did.
Can't wait to see it on her!
I'm sure the fit will be perfect.

Pillowy French Bread

So I have been baking bread now for 7 years now and this is The Best Recipe Yet
The kneading process in this one has to be what makes the difference.
My husband keeps complimenting me on it.
The soft texture is so beautiful haha
My son is sick today so during the last 10 minute rest I let it rest for more like 30 minutes
I also cut the recipe in half and just made one loaf.
Happy baking

Kuddos to The Baker Upstairs

My Husband took a bite out of the top for no apparent reason.
I am just as confused about this as you are.
